AKSHAT MALHOTRA

"Hello, pretty lady," I answered after picking up my phone.

"Hello, handsome man, agar apka gym ho gaya ho toh breakfast is ready aa jana," My Mom, Suhani Malhotra replied, mocking me.

"Ok, Mom, I will be there in 10 minutes," I replied hurriedly not wanting to hear her scolding in morning it self.

"Ok, baccha, come fast; everyone is waiting," Mom said softly this time. I hung up the call and headed towards my room to take a shower.

Well, you guys must be wondering who I am, so let me introduce myself. Well, I am Akshat Malhotra, the elder child of the Malhotra family, I am an introvert person, I prefer silence over chaos, I love playing basketball and I'm captain of my college basketball team too, I love singing but I left singing a few years back after dadi's death, I don't sing anymore, and I love spending my time with my family and my dog, I also like to read books, not fiction books but nonfiction books, I'm belive in old school love just like my parents but currently not looking for one.

"Good morning, everyone," I said while sitting on my chair next to Dadu, Rajiv Malhotra whom I love the most in this house.

"Good morning, young man," wished Dadu, and everyone wished simultaneously.

"When is your next basketball match, AK?" asked,Vikram Malhotra, My Dad, while having his breakfast.

"In these six months, Dad, I don't know either; dates are not fixed yet," I replied while eating my breakfast.

"Bhai, I want to watch your match. This is your last year; after that, you won't play in college, and I haven't seen you perform ever," said Ruhani, my little sister and everyone's heart.

"I can't do anything; only college students are allowed ruhh baccha," I replied, making a puppy face.

"Ruuh, don't worry. When I go to college, I will also play basketball just like Bhai; then you can watch me play. Good idea, right?" said my younger brother and ruhh twin brother Ruhaan.

"Do you know how to hold a basketball, aan?" said my other brother Aakash to Ruhaan while smacking his head lightly, and everyone laughed.

"Bhai...! Dekho na," said Ruhaan, whining and looking at me.

I shrugged it off, responding that I didn't know anything, which made everyone laugh again.

"Shut up, all of you! Complete your breakfast. Akshat, aren't you getting late? And you too, Aakash. It's your first day of the second year; I hope you remember that," said Maa in a strict tone, which silenced everyone.

"I'm done. I'm going now. Come quickly, Aakash. I won't wait for you," I said, quickly moving out after bidding goodbye to everyone.

I was waiting for Aaksh and my friends while leaning on my car's door. I saw my childhood friends, Rudra Kapoor and Abhimaan Shah, and also Rudra's younger brother, Parth Kapoor, a complete headache, the loudest person in this world.

"Hi bhai, Good morning," yelled Parth on top of his lungs. I know he does this to irritate me.

I ignored him and wished my two best friends,

"Good morning, boys."

"Good morning to you, too. Teri subah toh jyada hi acchi hogi aaj," Rudra said with a teasing smile while suppressing his grin.

"Yes, Best morning for Malhotra, I guess," said Abhimaan with a smirk.

" Not best morning, bhai; perfect morning honi hai bhai ki," said Aakash while keeping his hands on Parth shoulder, and everybody laughed.

I sighed and sat on driving seat, and Aakash, Rudra, and Parth sat in the back seat while Abhimaan sat next to me. I started driving.

Parth's phone rang after a few minutes. I wished internally that he would hang up the call, but he didn't; instead, he picked up the call.

Before he could speak, the person started speaking,

"Hello sun, I'm reaching college in 25 minutes, and Akansha is not going to come to the first lecture toh tu jaldi aaja, I'm not gonna go alone, you know that right?" said the other person on call maybe his and Aakash Best friend I don't know but her voice is something else like, Sweet and attractive.

I liked it.

"I know, janeman. Don't worry, I am on my way, and wait for me in the cafeteria, ok...!" replied Parth in a calm voice. Don't know but I didn't liked when he called her Janeman, fuck what is happening to me.

I shrugged it off and focused on my driving.

"Hello SS, Good morning, If anyone troubles you, you know whom to call right." Said Rudra. I think he knows her.

"Ohh hi Rudy bhai, Good morning to you too, yes I know that, goodbye see you soon, my train has arrived I'll call you later." replied that phone girl on the phone and hung up the call.

I dropped everyone at the college gate and went to the parking area to park my car, and after that, I went to my class as there was no practice today. 

Finally, my lectures were over, and I went home early in a rickshaw as today was the last day in our house and we stayed in a hostel near our college. Left the car behind for my friends. After coming home and taking a long shower, I completed my work until it was dinner time, after dinner, I slept early because of a hectic day, but during the whole day, one voice kept ringing in my ears. I don't know why, but it did.
